A visit to the Mid-Norfolk Railway on 23rd June 2007 during the brief period when they operate steam. The ex-GWR Pannier tank from the Buckingham Railway Centre was the guest locomotive this year.

A visit to the Nene Valley for their steam gala on 9th September 2006
2nd Sep 2006Churnet Valley Railway
A few visits to the Churnet Valley Railway in August 2005 and 2006 - on the Whitsuntide Bank Holiday Monday and in July and August 2007 plus the Winter Steam Gala in February 2008 and a brief glance on 24th August . In 2009 the first visit was for the Winter Steam Gala on 7th February. An excellent little line with a lot of potential. I can recommend the tearoom at Kingsley & Froghall station!

14th Aug 2005North Norfolk Railway
A few visits to the North Norfolk Railway. First in August 2005 and later in July 2007 and in August 2008. The 'That's Yer Lot' 50th aniversary gala at the end of February 2009 was brilliant but the weather wasn't. the most recent visit was in July 2009
A nice little railway with a delightful station at Sheringham and some interesting locomotives and rolling stock . Soon to be reconnected to the national network at Sheringham.

A few summer visits to the East Lancashire in June 2005, July 2006 and to the excellent 1940's weekend in May 2007.
For a change I visited in the snow on 2nd February 2008 and the latest was for the War Weekend on 24th May 2008

Pictures from the GCR in the 70's, the 80's and 2001 plus 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. There are also the occasional diesels which seem to have sneaked into the collection!
Latest visit was for the tank engine day on 16th August 2009

A few trips to the Gloucester and Warwickshire Railway in May 2004, May 2005 (Spring Gala) and June 2006 - the Centenary Gala event to mark 100 years since the line originally opened and 25 years since restoration began. A further visit in June 2007, May and July 2008 and the latest visit in May 2009
